"The anime (Fushigi) is great, but it's your subtitling job that makes the show possible to enjoy. Without your efforts, hundreds (even thousands) of people wouldn't be able to watch (well, understand) this creative series. You have done a wonderful thing here, and I for one really appreciate it."

"Incidentally, I like the technical notes you've added throughout the series, and the art video at the end of Vol. 8 was super. Where did you get the fades from one screen to the next! Did you tape all of them and mix them yourself? In any case, it was hilarious and informative... more, more! :) "

"Firstly, I would like to personally think you for bringing all these wonderful animations to fans like me... Fushigi has a double sentimental side to me, since I met my special one at a convention just as "Fushigi Yuugi played...weird but true.

"I enjoy the unique artistic style with which you make the animations as well. Especially that bit at the end of the 8th volume of Fushigi Yuugi. Your humor is also very appreciated especially after the tension of the story, my girlfriend and I cracked up and ended up on the floor several times."

"I don't want to take up too much of your time, you must be extremely busy, I'm sorry the message is as long' as it is. You can always count on our support and gratitude...thanks for everything! Take Care!"

Rob

"...Anyway, I saw the first three tapes of Fushigi Yuugi through your subtitling, and I have to commend you on an amazing job. The extra "fun facts" that you threw in at the end of each episode just made it that much better.?"

Michael

"Hi. I don't know if you guys get a lot of fan mail down there but I just thought I'd write instead of email. I think you're doing a wonderful job. I saw episodes of Fushigi Yuugi 1-24 but I thought..."this is such a great series"

John

"Hi! How are you? I'm fine. I just wanted to tell you how much I love Fushigi Yuugi. Every time I watch it I feel like I'm in it. I never really knew there were any soap opera anime. I've discovered Miaka and I have have a lot in common. We both love to eat. About the same age. Both Asian. Also we both live with our mom and older brother. One thing she has that I wish I did is Tamahome."

"I am watching Fushigi Yuugi from tapes borrowed from Bansi (a local anime club). I would like to thank you for making this series available to us English speaking people. You did an excellent job on this. The cultural notes before the episodes are really helpful. Thanks.

Kent

First, I would like to thank you for the excellent work you have done with the Fushigi Yuugi fan-subs. My boyfriend and I have totally fallen in love with the series! We especially like the "cliff notes" at the closing credits and occasionally between episodes. Thanks for trying to explain all of the Japanese puns rather than substituting English puns which don't quite fit, as many subtitlers do. We have just gotten into anime recently, but we have discovered that we are much more of the "literal" school".

"More cool things about your tapes: Lots of non-English words! This is really great, because we are picking up the basic anime vocabulary as we go. (Daniel now refers to me as Viv-chan, which I think is really cute! Of course he wants to be called Daniel-sama, which is I think, going a bit too fat!)"

Vivian

I just finished watching the fansubs you did for Fushigi Yuugi and after picking up the many kleenex strooned onto the floor, I had to find your website and thank you for one of the most enjoyable anime watching experiences I have ever had. It was obvious from your many comments within the show that you put our heart and soul into the translations. It was a beautiful thing to behold! When I got to episode 33, I had to sop because I couldn't stop crying. I've never had anime effect me like that. I have favorite characters from other shows (Sailor Moon, Tenchi, Slayers), but this was different. I guess it's because the characters in FY are a combination of all of us... good an bad. I got to the last 4 episodes and had no idea how it was going to end. That's a rare thing for me. The ending was amazing!!!

"Hi, this is Michael...I am not sure you remember this but when I last e-mailed you it was on the amazing quality of the Fushigi tapes saw. Now I would like to say how much I love the series and do not know how to express my gratitude for you subbing the entire series. You really love the series and all the fans who want to see it. It shows by the work you put into it. Your translation notes at the beginning and end of the episodes are very important and informative. I have only seen up to 36 and it is only a matter of time before I finish it."

"I have never felt more concerned for any of the characters in Fushigi Yuugi. I felt good on May 19 11?25 Am as I heard Miaka and Tamahome say that they would wait until they go the Shizaho got get married, felt awful on May 20 12:05 Am when Nuriko died, and shocked May 20 11:25 Am when Nakago tricked and deceived Miaka. This is only a small section of my emotional status when I watch the series. Did you feel similar when you first watched it?"

Lou

"I originally was going to email you to congratulate you for the excellent, no OUTSTANDING job you did on the Fushigi Yuugi series. A friend of mine lent me the 1st. vol. and I freaked out! ...the artistic subs blew me away, Anyway, may GOD protect you and the ones you love, and be strong".

Much luck, Sergio (another anime otaku)

"...besides the obvious quality of the series itself, your subbing is fantastic! It's all in sync and not annoying, clear, and all that is good."

"I LOVE you guys. Really, I really appreciate the hard work you do for all us poor anime kids, and you did a wonderful job doing it."

"Thanks a million."
